Office Room Josefina<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This room is located at the entrance of the House, on one side of the zaguan and serves as the reception when we need to interact with our guests in the house.<\/p>\n

It was the studio of the last lady who lived in the house, Josefina de Ponte y Cullen (1940-2015), who was fundamental in the reform and management of the house in 1983 and in her memory we have named these rooms to her name. Graduated as a commercial expert, she worked in this office as an accountant and manager of the family business, as well as in the governance of the mansion, for which she hired various employees.<\/p>\n

An illustrious surname with extensive roots in Tenerife, the Ponte family comes from the Genoese patrician Crist\u00f3bal de Ponte, who was one of the main financiers of the conquest of the Canary Islands, lending large sums of money to the Catholic Monarchs. For this reason, in the distributions he was favoured with numerous lands and water in Tenerife (1554) after the end of the conquest, among these in the area of Adeje and Garachico of which they were founders. They were also holders of various noble titles such as the marquisate of Adeje, of Quinta Roja or El Palmar, and whose descendants have given illustrious characters who have held important posts in the Canary Islands in the militias, such as aldermen, governors, mayors, etc.<\/p>\n

In this office we highlight the enormous hardwood bookcase as well as the canvas by Juan Toral on ravines on the outskirts of La Laguna that supplied the population with water. The baroque armchair that presides over the work table and the traditional carpet are also worth mentioning.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Our establishment is an impressive eclectic-modernist mansion from the early 20th century built on the original construction of an 18th century Canarian mansion, where we find 10 suites with a unique history and personality each one of them. Its front, rich in neoclassical decorations, has one of the first Canarian iron balconies.<\/p>\n

Our palace has an emblematic main courtyard decorated with plasterwork and iron columns, also surprising the visitors with the discovery of a bucolic back garden that will bring us closer to nature to the delight of our guests.<\/p>\n
