This accommodation unit bears the name of La Tertulia de Nava, which was the most important circle of enlightened intellectuals in San Crist\u00f3bal de la Laguna who met regularly in the adjoining Palacio de Nava.<\/p>\n

From its creation by Tom\u00e1s de Nava-Grim\u00f3n y Porlier until its apogee thanks to his son Alonso de Nava y Grim\u00f3n, the meeting brought together great personalities from the Canary Islands and elsewhere. However, it was Jos\u00e9 de Viera y Clavijo who was the greatest promoter and architect of the Nava gathering as one of the nerve centres of culture in the Canary Islands during the 18th century. It is considered the Canarian Enlightenment and due to the importance of its promoter, the Marquis of Villanueva del Prado, it was able to avoid any inquisitorial incursion.<\/p>\n

This suite has a bedroom, living-dining room and bathroom. In its decoration, we highlight the art deco lamp in the living room-kitchen, as well as some paintings by Oscar La Tuag, a contemporary artist, which decorated the bedroom together with original pieces from the house, such as the wardrobe and the bedside table.<\/p>\n

Finally, it is important to note that in the late 18th century, the printing house of Angel Bazzanti, the first printer in La Laguna and one of the first in the Canary Islands, was established in the house where Nava Suites is currently located.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Nava Suites<\/h4>\n

Our establishment is an impressive eclectic-modernist mansion from the early 20th century built on the original construction of an 18th century Canarian mansion, where we find 10 suites with a unique history and personality each one of them. Its front, rich in neoclassical decorations, has one of the first Canarian iron balconies.<\/p>\n

Our palace has an emblematic main courtyard decorated with plasterwork and iron columns, also surprising the visitors with the discovery of a bucolic back garden that will bring us closer to nature to the delight of our guests.<\/p>\n
